# Index will only allow one type in es 6.0, what's the effect to kibana 6.0

My understanding is that the .kibana index will be migrated to not use types any more.
I think there will also be some migration utilities to migrate other data indices, but Kibana 6.0 will also continue to support indices with multiple types since some indices might be huge and not easily migrated.
Do you have a particular concern? There are a few issues/prs in Kibana repo about the change as well.
