# Indexing using FsCrawler - remote windows server

Hi,

I have remote windows server with files, and I want to run FSCrawler from my Elasticsearch server.  
if it is linux server, in settings file we would usually give the credentials and protocol as ssh under `server`. but if the machine is windows then should I give the protocol as `RDP`?

Only ssh is supported for remote connection.
