# \[Ingest processor\] How to apply ingest pipeline on an index?

So in kibana i created an ingest pipeline. Is there a way to apply it to an index or it will be automatically applied?

You can choose to apply it when using the index or bulk request.  
Or you can apply it automatically using index settings.
