Hi all - We're tying to use the deb for 0.19.8 and the provided init.d script bombs but just says [fail] but nothing more. There isn't anything logged at all :-/ When I run/start elastic search from the installation location's bin directory, it starts just fine. Any suggestions? -- ---

Issue was elasticsearch.yml being set down by chef had crappy permissions. Boosted to 0644 and all is well. Sorry for the noise - hope this helps someone...
