# Installed ElasticSearch on linux, service is running but curl to elasticsearch url is failing

Installed Elasticsearch on linux, service is running but curl to elasticsearch url is failing. Getting below error  
curl: (52) Empty reply from server

Please look at the link Mark provided and provide more information, information about the deployment, configuration and logs. You have not provided any information that would allow someone to help you troubleshoot this isue.
