# Installing Elastic License using Helm charts 7.x

I've just acquired a license for the elastic stack and I'm trying to install it using helm charts.  
It is implied by the charts that you can install the license by mounting a secret but nowhere in the documentation I was able to find how to do it.

I found this link: [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/cloud-on-k8s/current/k8s-licensing.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/cloud-on-k8s/current/k8s-licensing.html) but it seems to work only for ECK deployments.

At the moment I am forced to install the license manually using the UI which is something I don't want to do in the near future.
