# Installing ES

The deb installer has it's own init script so you should be able to use that without any issues.

I am sorry you feel this way, however please do read [https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/blob/master/LICENSE.txt](https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/blob/master/LICENSE.txt), specifically sections 8 and 9.

If you are still having problems and seeing errors then please do post as much detail of them so we can try to diagnose and resolve them with you. You'll find that we are more than willing to help if you can provide further information 🙂
