# Installing logstash-plugin - logstash-input-beats

Hi everybody 😀

I need your help !  
When I try to install **the logstash plugin** , I receive an error :

```
[ELK Logstash]$ bin/logstash-plugin install /usr/share/logstash/vendor/bundle/jruby/1.9/gems/logstash-input-beats-3.1.24-java.gem

I really don't understand what's happend here because I never modify this files. So if someone knows ...

Hi,  
Are you able to install the plugin with the syntax:  
_./bin/logstash-plugin install logstash-input-beats_
