# Installing Timelion

Hi,
After reading the recent blog post on timelion ([https://www.elastic.co/blog/timelion-timeline](https://www.elastic.co/blog/timelion-timeline)) I wanted to install it. Now I have installed the Kibana plugin but I can't search data or do anything and I don't get the tutorial. Looking around I take it I need to install the elasticsearch component for this to work (I assume) but when I try and do this I get the following:
]# bin/plugin install elastic/timelion
-\> Installing elastic/timelion...

NOTE: Unable to verify checksum for downloaded plugin (unable to find .sha1 or .md5 file to verify)
ERROR: Could not find plugin descriptor 'plugin-descriptor.properties' in plugin zip
Have I missed something? I am using kibana 4.2..1 and elasticsearch 2.0.

timelion is a kibana plugin not an elasticsearch plugin.

OK that is what I initially thought but the plugin wasn't working for me. I
had issues with first install so I think something went wrong there and I
wasn't getting tutorial or anything. I cleared everything out and installed
the plugin again and now it seems to be working 🙂 Thanks
