# Intrument methods

Hi is it possible to instrument methods in .net in the same way that we do with java.  
Or is it some other way?

ELASTIC\_APM\_TRACE\_METHODS....

Hi @johanostberg,

unfortunately, this functionality is not (yet) available for the .NET agent.  
Please create an enhancement request in our [GitHub repository](https://github.com/elastic/apm-agent-dotnet) if you are interested in this functionality.  
This allows us to better prioritize this request in relation to other features and you can track its progress over time.
