# Ipv6 at dashboard

why in 1 hostname detect 2 ip. ipv4 and ipv6

Can you check what is the mapping of your data and see what values you are seeing in elasticsearch?

Kibana displays the data from ES and ip field type mapping accepts both ipv4 and ipv6 addresses
