# Is changes number of replicas and mapping in index blocks parallel queries to index?

Hi,

I am want to change number of replicas in index. Is this operation blocks to retrieve documents from this index to time number of replicas changed?

And same question. If i add field to mapping in index is this operation blocks to retrieve documents?
