# Is it possible to add and delete alias to indexes on Kibana?

I know that it's possible to programmatically add and create alias through the API as outlined in the documentation [Aliases API | Elasticsearch Guide [8.1] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/indices-aliases.html)

Is it possible to do create an alias and add it to an index by clicking on buttons in Kibana? Just like you can manage/delete indexes on Kibana through the "Stack Management" \> "Index Management" ?

Hi and welcome to our community!  
AFAIK there is no UI for that. For me this sounds like a nice enhancements. Could you open a feature request for this? Many thx!
