# Is it possible to create an Elasticsearch Cluster with different OS?

Hi,  
I have three servers, two are running Red Hat 8 and one Windows 10.  
Is it possible to set up a cluster (three nodes) with this configuration? Has any inconvenient or possible risks?

Technically yes. Advised no. It's far better to keep them the same as each OS behaves differently.
