# Is it possible to create term search from URI?

Hi.

I know the term search faster than full text search.

So i can create a full text search query like this :

[http://myserver:9200/myindex/\_doc/\_search/?\_source=false&request\_cache=true&q=kategori\_Id=12](http://myserver:9200/myindex/_doc/_search/?_source=false&request_cache=true&q=kategori_Id=12)

But kategori\_Id field is just an Id and it can be faster with exact match term search, is that correct ?

If it is how to create term search from URI ?

You can't. But if the field is indexed as a keyword data type and you search with `?q=kategori_id:12` it should be fast.

Otherwise just use the QueryDSL to have a full control of what is run.
