# Is it possible to hide “Open in Discover” for a saved search in the embedded view of a Kibana dashboard?

Hi,

I’m embedding a Kibana dashboard that contains a saved search, but I’d like to hide or remove the “Open in Discover” link when the dashboard is viewed in embedded mode.

Is there a way to achieve this through Kibana’s settings, APIs, or any customization? I’m looking to keep the embedded view minimal and prevent users from navigating to the Discover page. Any suggestions or workarounds would be appreciated!

One way to remove this link is to [remove the Discover privilege](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/kibana-privileges.html#_assigning_feature_privileges) for your users. But, this would remove Discover access for the user in Kibana as well.

Thanks a lot. It works for me

It removed extra items from the menu list and can still download the CSV.
