# Is reindexing from a source index which has a relocating shard slower?

I am trying to reindex 14 million documents. It has become really slow after 12 million docs.  
Source index has a relocating shard which has relocated 60 percent now. could that be the reason for slowness of reindexing . Worse , would the reindexing be done only after relocating is done. (because relocating is excruciatingly slow)
