# Is there a way to determine what triggers shard movement?

Yeah, you may be right.

Your cluster seems to be pretty balanced, are you still having issues?

I think it may be still related to this [issue](https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/issues/98087).

Is this the same issue you had in the past in this [topic](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/shard-recovery-in-8-10-2-seems-to-happen-more-often/357024), right?

Maybe the values you used are not enough anymore.
