# Is there a way to use the "Time Series" data type with output redis? (Metricbeat)

Currently, metricbeat is only possible with List Structure types (Output Redis).

This method may not be immediately visible.

Is there a way to output "Time Series” data type for visualization?

It seems that there is a way to visualize with grafana after putting in redis by CSV method recently by Redis Labs.

Hi @17earlgrey!

From what I can see in the [docs](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/metricbeat/current/redis-output.html) this data type is not supported.

A possible workaround could be to ship your events to Elasticsearch and visualize them as timeseries in Grafana.
