because \_field\_stats API is deprecated in 5.4.0 so index\_name/\_field\_stats?level=indices can't use anymore, is there another API to find max value in the field ---

For the max value, you can run a max aggregation on the field: [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/search-aggregations-metrics-max-aggregation.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/search-aggregations-metrics-max-aggregation.html) ---
