# Is there any API directly tell how many shard on a node

is there any API like GET /\_cat/nodes to get the quatiity of the shard on a node

```auto
[
  {
    "name" : "node-2",
    "cpu" : "1"

  },
  {
    "name" : "node-1",
    "cpu" : "4"
  },
  {
    "name" : "node-3",
    "cpu" : "10"
  }
]

```

I don't think there is, but it sounds like a good idea to add to `_cat/nodes`. I think it'd be worth opening a feature request for this 🙂
