# Is there any options for Kibana not to convert @timestamp from UTC to browser local timezone?

I think [github.com/elastic/kibana issue 1600](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/1600) is the relevant issue to track. It's currently open but targeting Kibana 4.4. It's not obvious to me why this is so hard to fix.
