# Is there anyway to hold a TSVB params value independent of the overall filter?

Currently the filter applies for the whole visual, I would like to hold params.z constant of any filter:

Unfortunately, I think this is not possible.  
You can't limit a filter only to a specific variable, but this will be an interesting and useful enhancement and it will be great if you can create an enhancement request here: [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/new?template=Feature\_request.md](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/new?template=Feature_request.md)
