Hi @kkirsche

MonitBeat sounds like a great idea. We are planning a more generic Metric / SysBeat to fetch system data (see also TopBeat). This Beat should also be extensible to fetch data from services like MonitBeat. It would be great to have a MonitBeat as it would also give indications on how we can generalise the implementation. In case you start to work on it and need some help, let us know.
