# Is there is anyway that I can edit the map plugin in Kibana to read X-Y Coordinates instad of reading Geolocaiton?

Hello Geeks,

I was wondering if there is anyway that I can edit the map plugin in Kibana  
to read X-Y Coordinates instad of reading Geolocaiton ?

Hi @alainc thanks for you reply , I did exactly as this tutorial does and currently I'm stuck in  
Writing these equations into logstash to get the lat and long can you please help ?

Here are the equations I wan to write in logstash but I don't know the syntax

lat = lat\_min + (Y \* lat\_range / y\_range)

long = long\_min + (X \* long\_range / x\_range)
