# Issue while Configuring SSL, TLS, and HTTPS to secure Elasticsearch

Hi all,

I install elasticsearch 7.2 in ubuntu 16.04 on AWS instance and tried to setup SSL,TLS on elasticsearch  
I refer below link to configure the same

But in 2-6-2 step i.e Configure elasticsearch.yml I configure all xpack security parameter & appropriate path but when I start the elasticsearch it failed to start and in logs, I am not getting log updates for the same.

And When i remove all xpack.security component elasticsearch works fine.

Any help in this will be appreciated.

We can't do much without error logs. Assuming you have installed the deb package that uses Systemd, you can check the logs of Elasticsearch with `journalctl -u elasticsearch`. Please share any errors you see in there
