You should probably describe your needs here, rather than ask people to visit an off-site link. If you're using Logstash forwarder, that's probably part of the problem. It has been deprecated for some time. It has been replaced by [filebeat](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/filebeat/current/index.html) and [winlogbeat](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/winlogbeat/current/index.html). You probably want to focus on the [`ignore_older`](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/filebeat/current/configuration-filebeat-options.html#ignore-older) option. ---
