I'm new to Elasticsearch. It seems like doc\_values is a columnar storage for documents fields. I want to do search in Spark and retrieve a few fields of a large mount of documents. It seems a columnar storage format will help more.
But I don't know the `search API` or `ES-Hadoop` provide API to do this.
