# Java APM agent catch 400 as error

**Elasticsearch version** : v7.12.1

**APM Server version** : v7.12.1

**APM Agent language and version** : java 1.24.0 elastic-apm-agent-1.24.0.jar

**Browser version** : N/A

**Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, deb, from source, etc.) and version**: maven

**Fresh install or upgraded from other version?** : fresh install

**Is there anything special in your setup?** : No

**Description of the problem including expected versus actual behavior. Please include screenshots (if relevant)**:

The apm agent catch 400(org.springframework.http.converter.HttpMessageNotReadableException) as errors. I think that 400(Bad Request) is not an error. It's client side thing.

Is there any configuration for ignore such exceptions?

**Steps to reproduce** :

1. String Boot
2. Curl to server without any data

**Errors in browser console (if relevant)**:

Yes, there is - [`ignore_exceptions`](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/apm/agent/java/current/config-core.html#config-ignore-exceptions).
