# java.io.StreamCorruptedException: invalid internal transport message format, got (16,3,3,0)

Tribe nodes are being deprecated, so I would recommend switching to [cross-cluster search](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.8/cross-cluster-configuring.html) instead. I have not used tribe nodes in a very long time so can unfortunately not help.
