# \\Java\\jre1.8.0\_201\\bin\\java.exe was unexpected at this time

Hi,

I am trying to start the elasticsearch and getting below message. I have upgraded my java version to jre1.8.0\_201 and then when I start it, I am facing this issue.

\Java\jre1.8.0\_201\bin\java.exe was unexpected at this time.

Could some one let me know what could be the issue.

At a guess, it looks like you have a space in the environment variable (?) you are using to define the location of your Java executable.
