# Just Pushed: Cluster Update Settings API

Heya, now, we can update (certain) type of settings cluster wide. The list
of settings is small currently, but, the infra is there to support other
settings: [https://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/1266](https://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/1266).
If you have other settings in mind that you would like to be able to update
(note "cluster" level settings, not index level settings), just shout.

And I'm pleased that I chose the method update\_index\_settings() in my
API now 🙂
