# Just Pushed: more geo support, dynamic setting of index number\_of\_replicas, and other goodies

Hi,

Here is a list of some of the latest features / enhancements added to  
0.9.1 (master):

- filter based facet:  
[http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/289](http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/289). _note_, because of  
this, the "filter" common setting for facets has changed to "facet\_filter".
- script based sorting:  
[http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/293](http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/293).
- geo polygon based filter:  
[http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/294](http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/294)
- ability to return all sort fields with "\*" in a search request:  
[http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/296](http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/296)
- A new update settings API, allowing to dynamically change the number of  
replicas for an index / indices:  
[http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/302](http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/302).
- terms facet, allow to control the ordering either by count (default) or  
term: [http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/303](http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/303).
- terms facet, allow to control the term and its inclusion using a

I tried to merge it with release notes on wiki, are there any tickets for  
the following changes?

- Support dates in range facet.

IMHO tickets are not needed but it is good to keep track of these changes as  
well because the docs need to be updated before 0.9.1 release.

In general, there should be tickets for all "visible" commits. I will add  
them. Thanks for keeping me straight 😉

Ahh, with the two commits, I actually updated the range facet ticket to  
include the mentioned commits. The JMX one was just a fix to support both  
camel case and underscore case which is what all settings do.
