# Just Pushed: Parent Child Support

Hi,

Just pushed a big feature to elasticsearch, parent child support. This allows to solve some cases where one would not want to reindex the whole documents on small changes. Here is the issue: [https://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/553](https://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues/553).

Note, there is still a lot of work left to complete the expected feature set. At least the ones that make sense ;). But, the core features are there....

Is there a way to get the child document/s as part of a query on the parent ?
