# Kafka ouput with SASL\_SSL authentication

Hello,

I need to send logs with filebeat to a Kafka broker where I am not administrator.  
This broker has SSL and authentication enabled and I failed to configure filebeat to connect to it properly.  
Our Kafka administrator told me, that the broker uses SASL\_SSL mode but this [doesn't seem to be supported](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/filebeat/master/kafka-output.html#_literal_username_literal_2) by the Beats Kafka output.

Is there any plan in the near future to support this?
