# Kibana 5 user authendication

Hi,

I would like to know kibana 5 has user authentication for each dashboard ?

with[x-pack security](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/x-pack/current/xpack-security.html) plugin kibana has user authentication and per index/document/field security. this means you can allow access only to certain fields of some documents in some index to some users ...

however i dont think there is a per dashboard authentication.
