# \[Kibana 7.0.1\] Kibana server is not ready yet

I'm trying to use elasticsearch and kibana (7.0.1) in separate instances in aws, but when trying to upload kibana I'm getting the message: Kibana server is not ready yet

Can you check the Kibana logs? If Kibana is not starting, it should provide information there to go off of.

I was able to resolve it, I just needed to edit the cluster.initial\_master\_nodes field with the name of the elastic node in elasticsearch.yml.
