I want to add custom map which I create. I am using same format as provided in this link [https://maps.elastic.co/](https://maps.elastic.co/)

I can provide configuration as mentioned in this question.

> My kibana.yml file. What am I doing wrong here? Kibana is served by a back end server. This setting specifies the port to use. server.port: 5601 Specifies the address to which the Kibana server will bind. IP addresses and host names are both valid values. The default is 'localhost', which usually means remote machines will not be able to connect. To allow connections from remote users, set this parameter to a non-loopback address. server.host: "localhost" Enables you to specify a path to moun…

but where I have to save the json file for map so that kibana can find it.

Hi @Ayush_Goyal, welcome to the Elastic community forums!

It's not totally clear what you want to achieve.

- What version of Kibana are you using?
- Do you want to use [Elastic Maps](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/maps.html) or the older [region](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/6.8/regionmap.html) or [coordinate](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/6.8/tilemap.html) map visualizations?
- What kind (protocol) of custom map do you want to provide? WMS? XYZ?

Have you checked the documentation for [custom maps](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/settings.html#regionmap-settings) in the Kibana docs?
