Hi Team,

I have a complete elastic-stack with x-pack security and its working fine. However my concern is I wanted to secure this with 2 FA or other basic authentication by putting it behind Nginx reverse proxy. Since this server is being accessed by multiple users I do not want to login to server and keep deleting the users.

Hence I wanted to enable another layer like nginx as described above. However after enabling nginx is prompting for authentication but its consistently prompting for authentication and I believe its sending username to authenticate with kibana.

How do I setup basic authentication with Kibana with x-pack on?

TIA
Blason R

Does this loop happen without nginx in use?

Then it sounds like an nginx issue rather than a Elastic one sorry.
