# Kibana Authentication

I want to know how I can secure the data set based on what a user has access in. I'm using kibana 7.0.0-alpha1 downloaded from [https://github.com/elastic/kibana](https://github.com/elastic/kibana).

Solely i want to implement authentication in kibana.

Please don't use the alpha, it's in no way ready for anything other than development 🙂

6.1.3 is stable, and you can use X-Pack for securing thing.

How do i get the kibana 6.1.2 source code?  
When i'm trying to install packages, it throws a warning "npm WARN kibana@6.1.2 No license field".  
please guide me through this..
