# Kibana Create Index pattern is in hanging state- Version 6.4.2

Hi Team,

I am facing issue while creating index pattern, i already have few index patterns created but not able to create now. My developer console logs have error-

I'm not sure if I have enough information to help with this- my best guess is that your user account does not have permissions to read from that index, is that possible?

@wylie  
We are using simple http nginx authentication for Kibana, in which there is no role assigned to the user.  
So there can't be any issue with that. Is there something else i can check. It has become kind of blocker for us.

You said there is no role assigned to the user, but I think you at least need the `kibana_user` role:
