When reinstalling elk, how do I apply the existing kibana dashboard visualizations to the newly installed kibana?

All Kibana data is stored in indices in Elasticsearch (most of it in `.kibana`), so you can create an Elasticsearch snapshot to transfer Kibana data as well.

Another approach would be to export the parts you want to keep in Kibana (go to Management \> Saved objects), and import them into the new instance.
