# Kibana dashboards export/import not working

this is kind of a wild guess, but when you exported your Dashboard did you remember to export the associated Visualizations and Searches? See this related question: [How to save dashboard as json file](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/how-to-save-dashboard-as-json-file/24561/14) what versions are yoiu trying this on ? what errors exactly and screenshots/logs would help.
