# Kibana dashboards migration to new ES cluster

Hi,
i created 2 ES clusters (version 5.6), and i want to re-create the same dashboards i have on the first cluster, in the second as well, so i can query it with Kibana that is associated with this second cluster.
i exported the json files for the visualizations and dashboards, and imported it to the second instance, but nothing is showing up.
am i missing something or there is another way to achieve this?

Did you recreate the index patterns that go along with them? You'll need to make sure to do that as well as import the dashboards.
