# Kibana development mode, yarn installation

Hi, I have downloaded kibana through git, and am using nvm.  
When I run the yarn kbn bootstrap, I receive the following error:

error Command failed with exit code 1.  
$ rm -rf target && tsc

I am trying to develop a new plugin for kibana

I guess you are using windows  
Run all your shell commands using [MINGW](http://mingw-w64.org/)
