# Kibana discover: time filter

Hi There!

Is it possible to set the time filter from 8:28AM to now? I see a today so far which is 0:00 to now, can this be customized? Thanks for any advice!

You can use the relative section of the time picker to do some number of minutes/hours/etc. to now

And you can choose to filter based on two absolute times

but you can't currently choose to filter from an absolute date to a relative "now" (that always updates to the current time).
