# Kibana Email Alerting Connector

How to setup Email Connector once the rule is created in kibana Rules & Connectors? what Username and password inside email connector option we need to give.

Hi @Ayushi_bhardwaj ,

As stated in [docs](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/email-action-type.html) you need to specify username and password for authentication and depends on selected service, e.g. Gmail or Elastic Cloud.
