# Kibana error - module.js:478 cannot find module Babel-register

Looking at [this previous thread](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/cannot-find-module-babel-register/137016/2), looks like there are a few things you can try:

- Is there an `optimize` directory next to the `bin` folder? If there is, you could try and delete it and see if Kibana will start then.
- If not that, something might have gone wrong during download/unzip. Could you try deleting it and redownloading?
