# Kibana Heap Setting

Can someone please let me know how to go about setting Kibana heap size and limit? I'm running version 5.2.1 Thank you.

Set `max-old-space-size` in the `NODE_OPTIONS` environment variable, e.g. `NODE_OPTIONS=--max-old-space-size=8000`
