Hello, I want to start kibana 6.1 in dev mode but getting error of missing commons.bundle.js (404) , commons.style.css(404) and kibana.bundle.js files. Steps to reproduce: 1. Clone 6.1 branch from github 2. Run command npm install 3. Run command npm run elasticsearch 4. Run command npm start The server started(took lots of time by the way) but when I try access [http://localhost:5603/kibana/app/kibana](http://localhost:5603/kibana/app/kibana) It says "{"statusCode":404,"error":"Not Found","message":"Not Found"}" [http://localhost:5603/app/kibana](http://localhost:5603/app/kibana) It says "kibana did not load properly. Kibana web server runs on port `5601`, try accessing: [http://localhost:5601/](http://localhost:5601/) Also verify that your `node -v` is correct. It should be `6.14.0` for Kibana 6.1: [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/blob/6.1/.node-version](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/blob/6.1/.node-version) ---

Also, I see that you have `x-pack` file references in the second screenshot. `x-pack` is not part of open source Kibana in 6.1 ([read more here](https://www.elastic.co/products/x-pack/open)). Did you forget to checkout the 6.1 branch after cloning the repo? `git clone https://github.com/[YOUR_USERNAME]/kibana.git kibana` `git checkout 6.1` ---

Hello, jen-huang Actually I had check out 6.1 earlier but it was not working; then I tried checking out the master branch and use yarn instead of npm here the steps I performed: 1. git clone [https://github.com/[YOUR\_USERNAME]/kibana.git](https://github.com/%5BYOUR_USERNAME%5D/kibana.git) kibana cd kibana 2. yarn kbn bootstrap 3. yarn es snapshot 4. yarn start But it is taking too long ( 16 hours so far) to start the kibana 7.1 server; the logs keeps showing restarting server due to changes Regards, Hamdullah ---

I'm not sure why you are accessing port `5603`? Kibana lives at [http://localhost:5601](http://localhost:5601). ---
